I leap into the unknown.
In the unpredictable process of creating intuitively, I embrace both the beauty and the uncertainty of the journey. It is in those moments of doubt—the lessons, and the act of reconstruction—that I discover the truest essence of myself. In surrendering to the unknown, I find my freedom.

Renewable: Reclamation, acrylic, spray paint, ink, oil pastel and pencil on canvas, 36”x72” diptych

Exploring the tension between reality of space, perspective, and abstraction. Contradictions, making order of chaos. Through this artistic practice, the need to call attention to our natural and man-made world, conflicting, complex. Intuitive and gestural lines are laid down to convey intensity, energy, and strength. Pulling together our relationships to the environment. Connecting with our natural world connects us to ourselves.

I'm using the energy of line and the field of colors to reflect the extent of information that we are dealt with on a daily basis. The digital static, too many choices, etc.

Digitally Distracted 1, 2, and 3, Acrylic, oil pastels, ink and spray paint and canvas collage, Triptych 36” x 108”
